David works as a Strategy & Transformation consultant, and is a former Group CTO — fifteen-plus years spent leading technology change from the inside of large organisations. That work and the writing feed each other more than either side likes to admit: the same habits of listening closely and translating what you find into something someone else can act on show up in both.
He's also a working Toastmaster, still sanding down the edges of how a story gets told well enough that people act on it — a skill that shows up as much in a boardroom as it does on the page.
He's based in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, and is currently splitting his writing time between two nonfiction guides on organisational transformation and the ongoing "Holding the Signal" series, which follows a signals intelligence officer through postings that span four decades.
